FAQ’s

  1. How long will it take to get to my destination?
     

    1. Vehicles depart the airport to each hotel area every 20-30 minutes. Wait times can average 1-30 minutes and your vehicle will likely make multiple stops. Based on the distance from the airport to downtown New Orleans, you should expect your travel time to be between 30 – 60 minutes. 
    2. Vehicles departing hotels will most likely make additional stops. Expected travel time can range from 30-60 minutes. NOTE: ELCA recommends giving yourself approximately 4 hours before flight time to arrive at the airport due to high amounts of travelers checking in and getting through security. 
  2. How and when should I make edits to my reservation?
     

    1. Flight delays that do not affect date of arrival or departure will not affect service and do not need to be edited. 
    2. Flight cancellations or changes that affect the date of arrival or departure should be communicated via email to event@motorcoachfamily.com as soon as possible. 
    3. Changes in number of travelers in your group should be emailed to event@motorcoachfamily.com.
  3. What if I am travelling in a wheelchair or need special assistance?
     

    1. If you need to remain in your wheelchair for travel or need to remain in your wheelchair to board the vehicle, please select the number of wheelchair passengers when adding your party mix upon booking. If you do not need to remain in your wheelchair for travel, your wheelchair or scooter may be stored in the luggage bay of your vehicle. 
  4. What is the cancellation policy?
     

    1. There will be no refunds or cancellations once the booking is completed. 
  5. Where do I find my shuttle at the airport?
     

    1. When you exit the gate and make your way to the first-floor baggage claim, look for greeters with lollipop signs with the ELCA logo on them. On the first floor there will also be a check-in desk at the bottom of the escalators to your left, between doors 3 & 4.
  6. How often do shuttles leave the airport?
     

    1. Shuttles depart the airport to each hotel area every 20-30 minutes.
  7. What if my flight number or time changes?
     

    1. Flight delays that do not affect date of arrival or departure will not affect service and do not need to be edited. 
    2. If your flight number changes due to a flight cancelation please notify us via email at event@motorcoachfamily.com
    3. If your flight is cancelled and it changes your arrival / departure date, please notify us via email immediately at event@motorcoachfamily.com. These changes will be handled on a case by case basis.
  8. Where do I board the shuttle from my hotel back to the airport?
     

    1. There will be a pick-up and drop-off location list provided listing where all hotel pick-up and drop-offs will be located. Please make sure you are in the correct location for your pick-up and drop-off.
    2. Departures prior to Noon on July 20th will be from hotel(s) only. 

Departures will begin after Final Gathering and continue through 14:00 from the secured luggage holding site near Superdome (exact location TBA; please check back here for updates). Please choose the option Final Gathering Luggage Storage is departing from the Final Gathering. 

All departures after this time will be from hotel(s) only.


  1. Will I receive an email confirmation or receipt?
     

    1. You will be sent a confirmation email once the booking is completed.  
  2. How many people fit into each shuttle?
     

    1. 56 passenger motorcoaches are used for the shuttle. 
  3. What does ride at your own risk mean?
     

    1. In a nutshell, riding at your own risk means that you have booked with a pickup time outside of those times recommended by our system to ensure a timely arrival. For customers booking pickup later than the recommended times, MCFoB is not responsible for fees resulting from a missed flight.
    2. Chaperones are responsible for Minors at all times.
  4. Lost and Found
     

    1. If an item is lost or left behind while using our service, we recommend emailing our office at event@motorcoachfamily.com to report the item lost. We check the vehicles after each departure to ensure no one has left anything behind, however, if we do find an item that cannot be returned right away due to the passenger having already left, we will hold on to the item at our office to return it to its owner. Client/guest is responsible for any and all expenses related to the return of any lost items. Note: We are not responsible for lost or damaged items or belongings.
